Nandi Baba Rescued – Abuse Injury, Greater Noida
On 20th March 2021, GauNandiSewa rescued a Nandi baba from Greater Noida suffering infection and swelling caused by deliberate human abuse.
When Ahimsa Is Ignored
Ahimsa — non-violence toward all living beings — sits at the very center of dharmic teaching, one of the most repeated principles across Hindu thought. It is not a soft suggestion; it is a standard. On 20th March 2021, that standard was violated outright in Greater Noida, where GauNandiSewa received a request to help a Nandi baba suffering infection and swelling caused not by accident or illness, but by deliberate human cruelty.
Responding to Harm Inflicted on Purpose
GauNandiSewa's animal rescue ambulance reached Greater Noida and brought him in for urgent care. Injuries caused deliberately by human abuse often carry both a physical wound and an emotional toll — an animal now wary of humans he has no reason left to trust. Treating the swelling and infection took precedence, but so did handling him with the gentleness that his experience had every reason to have stripped away.
Healing From What Should Never Have Happened
He recovered under GauNandiSewa's care. Ahimsa asks more of us than simply not causing harm — it asks that when harm is done, someone answers for it with care instead of indifference. That is what he received here.
