Nandi Baba Rescued – Wounds Over Body, Noida Extension

On 5th June 2021, GauNandiSewa rescued a Nandi baba from Noida Extension suffering from wounds across his body.

A Tradition of Shelter, Continued

Long before GauNandiSewa existed, many of India's great temples maintained their own goshalas — cow shelters attached directly to sacred grounds, where injured and aging cattle were tended to as a natural extension of temple life. On 5th June 2021, that same tradition of shelter was needed in Noida Extension, where a Nandi baba was found with wounds spread across his body, in need of exactly the kind of care those old goshalas once provided.

Bringing Him In

GauNandiSewa's animal rescue ambulance reached Noida Extension and brought him back for full examination and treatment. Multiple wounds across the body require methodical, thorough care — each one cleaned, assessed, and treated in turn, with close attention to any signs of infection spreading between them.

Healed, Under a Modern Roof

He recovered fully under GauNandiSewa's care. The temple goshalas of centuries past may be gone from most cities, but the same idea lives on here — a place built specifically so an animal like him always has somewhere to go.
