Gaumata Baby Rescued – Hit & Run Accident, Sector 59 Noida
In 2021, GauNandiSewa rescued a Gaumata baby struck in a hit-and-run accident after receiving a request from Sector 59, Noida.
Too Small for a Road Like This
Krishna spent his childhood among the calves of Vrindavan, never far from their side, protecting them as naturally as breathing — earning the name Govinda, protector of cows, before he was even grown himself. It's hard not to think of that devotion when a calf as young as this one ends up struck on a road, in Sector 59, Noida, by a vehicle that never stopped to see what it had done.
Answering the Call
GauNandiSewa received the request from Sector 59 and dispatched our animal rescue ambulance immediately. A hit-and-run injury on an animal this young requires exceptionally careful handling — her small size makes her more vulnerable to serious internal harm than a full-grown cow would be in the same accident.
Healing and Growing
She recovered under GauNandiSewa's care, growing stronger in the safety of the shelter. The driver who hit her was never found. What she has instead is a place, and people, that Govinda himself would have recognized as home.
