Old Nandi Baba Rescued – Sick & Leg Injured, Sector 59 Noida
In February 2021, at 1 AM, Noida Police alerted GauNandiSewa to an old, very sick Nandi baba with a leg injury in Sector 59 — our team responded immediately.
When the City Itself Asks for Help
Govardhan Puja has always been a communal tradition — cattle honored not by one devotee alone but by an entire village, an entire community, acting together. That same spirit showed up in an unexpected form in February 2021, when it wasn't a passerby or a neighbor who alerted GauNandiSewa, but Noida Police itself, calling at 1 AM about an old, gravely ill Nandi baba with an injured leg in Sector 59.
A Middle-of-the-Night Response
GauNandiSewa's animal rescue ambulance reached Sector 59 immediately after the police call came in. An old Nandi baba, already weakened by age and illness, carrying an injured leg on top of it, needed careful handling and urgent stabilization — his body had far less reserve to draw on than a younger, healthier animal would.
Recovering, With Help From Every Direction
He recovered under GauNandiSewa's care. This one didn't happen because of our team alone — it happened because a police force, a rescue ambulance, and a hospital all treated a suffering animal, at 1 AM, as worth acting on together.
