Named for a River, Suffering Like One Overflowing Its Banks

Someone once named him Brahmaputra — after the mighty river said to be born of Brahma himself, a force too vast for any single bank to hold. It's a name that carries weight, reverence, permanence. On 1st December 2021, GauNandiSewa received a request from Sector 27, Noida to reach a Mahadev Nandi baba carrying that name, found instead with a wound so deep and neglected that maggots had taken hold within it — suffering that had clearly overflowed every limit of what he should have had to endure alone.

A Wound That Demanded Immediate Attention

GauNandiSewa's animal rescue ambulance reached Sector 27 and brought Brahmaputra in without delay. A deep, maggot-infested wound requires careful, thorough cleaning — every maggot removed, the dead tissue cleared, and the area disinfected to stop the infection from spreading further into his body.

Carrying His Name Forward

He is recovering under GauNandiSewa's care, his wound treated and monitored daily. A river as vast as his namesake was never stopped by anything in its path — and neither, now, is his healing.
