Mahadev Nandi Rescued with Lumpy Skin Disease, Sector 94 Noida
On 23rd August 2026, a bull known as Mahadev Nandi was rescued with Lumpy Skin Disease from Sector 94, Noida, and now heals in our lumpy-care ICU ward.
A Second Call from Sector 94
On 23rd August 2026, GauNandiSewa received word of another animal in Sector 94, Noida, suffering from Lumpy Skin Disease — a bull the locals knew and respected as Mahadev Nandi. The disease had taken hold of him just as it had others nearby, leaving him weak and in need of urgent care.
Rescued by Kamdhenu Ambulance
He was rescued by the Kamdhenu Ambulance team and brought to GauNandiSewa Hospital, where he was admitted into our special advanced ICU ward built specifically for lumpy-affected cows. There, under continuous watch, his treatment began.
A Name That Carries Weight
In the Shiv Purana, Nandi is Shiva's eternal companion — steadfast, devoted, standing guard at Kailash through every trial. A bull carrying that name into a Delhi NCR sector arrives with an expectation attached to it: that he, too, deserves to be protected and cared for without hesitation, disease or no disease.
विद्या-विनय-सम्पन्ने ब्राह्मणे गवि हस्तिनि । शुनि चैव श्व-पाके च पण्डिताः सम-दर्शिनः ॥
vidyā-vinaya-sampanne brāhmaṇe gavi hastini śhuni chaiva śhva-pāke cha paṇḍitāḥ sama-darśhinaḥ
"The truly learned, with the eyes of divine knowledge, see with equal vision a Brahmin, a cow, an elephant, a dog, and an outcaste." (Bhagavad Gita 5.18) Whether he carries the name Mahadev Nandi or no name at all, he was owed exactly the same urgent care — and that is what he is receiving.
His Recovery Continues
Mahadev Nandi now heals in our lumpy-care ICU ward, under close watch as his treatment continues. Every day of care brings him a little closer to being fully well again.
