Suffering, Almost at Our Own Doorstep

On 31st October 2022, at 11 PM, GauNandiSewa received a request from Sector 62, Noida, near Parthla Chowk, to save Mahadev Nandi baba, who was suffering from deadly lumpy skin virus disease. Sector 62 is where our own hospital and gaushala stand — and it was a reminder that suffering doesn't wait for distance, sometimes it happens practically at our own gate.

A Late-Night Rescue by Kamdhenu Ambulance

Mahadev Nandi baba was rescued with the assistance of Dr. Naresh Sharma ji and the Kamdhenu Ambulance team and brought home for treatment and dedicated care, even as the night wore on.

Compassion That Doesn't Clock Out

The Bhagavad Gita lists non-violence and compassion toward every living being among the qualities of a truly divine nature — a compassion with no fixed hours, no convenient distance:

अहिंसा सत्यमक्रोधस्त्यागः शान्तिरपैशुनम् । दया भूतेष्वलोलुप्त्वं मार्दवं ह्रीरचापलम् ॥

ahiṁsā satyam akrodhas tyāgaḥ śhāntir apaiśhunam, dayā bhūteṣhv aloluptvaṁ mārdavaṁ hrīr achāpalam

"Non-violence, truthfulness, freedom from anger, compassion toward all living beings, gentleness — these are the marks of one born to a divine nature." (Bhagavad Gita 16.2-3) Whether the call comes at noon or at 11 PM, a few streets away or across the district, that compassion answers the same way.

Healed and Healthy

Mahadev Nandi baba is healed and healthy today. The lumpy skin virus that brought him to us in the middle of the night is behind him now — proof that even a case found almost at our own doorstep still gets the same full, dedicated recovery.
