Nandi Baba Rescued – Overgrown Hoof, Sector 44 Noida
On 22nd July 2021, GauNandiSewa rescued a Nandi baba from Sector 44, Noida whose severely overgrown hoof had left him unable to walk.
A Suffering With No Single Moment
Tradition holds that all 33 crore devatas are said to reside within a cow — a belief that makes it stranger still how easily a slow, creeping condition like an overgrown hoof can go unnoticed for so long. There was no accident here, no single dramatic moment. On 22nd July 2021, GauNandiSewa received a request from Sector 44, Noida about a Nandi baba whose hoof had grown so severely overgrown and misshapen that he could no longer walk at all.
A Slow Problem, an Urgent Fix
GauNandiSewa's animal rescue ambulance reached Sector 44 and brought him in for treatment. Correcting a severely overgrown hoof takes care and precision — trimmed back gradually to avoid causing pain or further injury, then monitored to make sure he could bear weight properly again.
Walking Again
He recovered and regained the ability to walk under GauNandiSewa's care. A condition that built up slowly, over what was likely a long stretch of neglect, was undone the same patient way it appeared — one careful step at a time.
