In the stories of Krishna's childhood, he is rarely pictured alone — always among the calves and cows of Vrindavan, tending them, playing beside them, calling himself their Govinda. Gau Mata is not simply an animal in this tradition; she is mother, sacred, a form the divine chose to walk among us in. A one-month-old calf, barely past infancy, is the most fragile expression of that sanctity — and the most vulnerable when the world fails to protect her.

Found Alone in Ganesh Nagar

On 5th June 2026, GauNandiSewa received a report of a one-month-old Gaumata baby wandering alone in Ganesh Nagar, Delhi — no mother in sight, no herd claiming her, far too young to understand what had happened or how to survive it. At that age, a calf depends entirely on her mother for milk, warmth, and protection. Without her, every hour alone was an hour closer to a fate no creature that young should have to face.

Bringing Her Home Before It Was Too Late

GauNandiSewa's animal rescue ambulance reached Ganesh Nagar and brought her back the same day. A calf this young needs more than shelter — she needs feeding on a strict schedule, warmth through the night, and the kind of round-the-clock attention a mother would ordinarily give without question. Our team took on that role from her very first hour with us, the way Krishna himself never separated devotion from action.

A New Home, A New Herd

She is growing now at GauNandiSewa's shelter in Noida, surrounded by warmth, food, and a family she never had to earn. She may never know the mother she lost in Ganesh Nagar, but she will not grow up without one.
