Gaumata, Acid Burned and Suffering a Month Alone – Meerut Rescue
Left to suffer for a month, no food, no treatment — a sacred Gaumata slowly dying in Meerut. This is the rescue that reached her just in time.
Gaumata is mother, sacred, and worthy of protection in Hindu tradition — yet for nearly a month, one suffering Gaumata in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, had neither. On 13th June 2021, GauNandiSewa received a request to save her — burned by acid and left without treatment or food since the attack, her condition growing more serious by the day.
Our team responded in collaboration with Meerut police [+ transport detail pending your confirmation] and rescued her, bringing her home to GauNandiSewa, a Mahadev Nandi cow hospital and gaushala serving Noida and Delhi NCR, for proper treatment and care.
By the time she reached us, weeks of neglect alongside her burns had left her condition critical. As an animal hospital and animal shelter rooted in the teachings of Mahadev and Krishna, our team began the work of nursing her back — treatment for her wounds alongside the food and care she had been denied for far too long.
No Gaumata should ever be left to suffer alone for weeks with nowhere to turn. If this story moved you, you can be part of this sacred Seva by supporting the rescue and treatment of animals like her directly below.
