— The long road to healing
Lumpy isn't cured in a day.
It's a journey of weeks — sometimes months.
Day 1 · Rescue
Lifted from the street
Our ambulance brings her in — weak, feverish, often unable to stand.
Week 1 · The critical fight
This is when most lives are lost
IV drips, injections and fever control every day. Cold water baths twice daily. Eyes on her day and night.
Week 2–3 · The first bite
She chooses to live
The fever slowly breaks. One morning she lifts her head and takes her first bite of food in days.
Week 3 onward · Healing
One wound at a time
Every wound cleaned and dressed, day after day, until new skin grows back.
Recovery
Standing tall again
Scars remain. But she stands, she eats, and she lives.
Every day of this journey needs medicine, food and care.
— Where your seva goes
Every rupee becomes care she can feel
— Then comes that moment
The first bite after days of hunger.
When a Gau Mata who hasn't eaten for days lifts her head and takes food from a sevadar's hand — that's when we know she has decided to live.

Questions you may have
Is Lumpy curable?
There's no direct cure for the lumpy virus. With timely treatment, fever control, wound care and nutrition, most Gau Mata recover.
Why is continuous support needed?
The first week decides survival, and the wounds take weeks to heal. If treatment breaks, infection returns and healing slows.
