This is his story, in his own words.

I am Sawan, a Nandi Baba who was saved from the streets of Noida. Life alone on the streets had already been a daily struggle for survival. An acid attack left my body severely burned — deep, third-degree wounds across my back, flanks, and legs — a constant battle against unbearable torment. In my darkest hour, the compassionate team from GauNandiSewa, led by Arjun, rescued me, offering the first glimmer of hope in my life.

I later learned something I did not know about myself. I am not just any calf. I am Nandi — Mahadev's own vahan, the one who sits closest to Shiva, who carries him. Shastra tells us that seva to Nandi reaches Mahadev directly, without anything standing in between.
